Sam (Samantha if she’s in trouble) is a British-born U.S. Air Force veteran, military spouse, writer, and mom of three.

She is tired of seeing the same stubborn military spouse unemployment statistic reported year after year.

Military spouses have spent decades learning how to adapt: to new states, new industries, new schedules, career gaps, licensing rules, and the occasional professional identity crisis brought to you by PCS orders.

Sam thinks workplaces should have to do a little adapting, too.

She also thinks writing in the third person is silly but understands that this is apparently how bios work. 

She is exploring practical ways to help employers recognize, retain, and grow military spouse talent. Her work focuses on the policies, processes, and manager practices that shape whether a military spouse can carry a career through the next move.
